In telling why conservatives don’t host talk shows, Jimmy Kimmel finally says something funny

Albeit unintentionally so.

Kimmel, whose chronic inability to interpret laws, policies, and statistics have been well-chronicled at The Mental Recession, seems to believe in earnest that liberals alone have the talent to read jokes that someone else wrote for them. It certainly sounds challenging.

It was during a live event for the liberal podcast “Pod Save America” that Kimmel observed, “It just so happens that almost every talk show host is a liberal and that’s because it requires a level of intelligence.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Kimmel became a media darling after using his sick child as a prop to support Obamacare several months ago. He became the so-called “conscience of America” after he shed a few crocodile tears while blaming Second Amendment advocates for the massacre in Las Vegas.

The late-night host told the Hollywood Reporter “to support Everytown for Gun Safety,” an organization that inflates gun death stats by lowering the government definition of “mass shooting” and uses suicides and automobile deaths in which a gun is in the car to sensationalize their reports.

The man practically defines ignorance on all issues, yet he is lecturing conservatives for being too dumb to deliver a 15-minute prefabricated monolog.

It should be noted that Kimmel got his big break as host of a sophomoric Comedy Central show in the early 2000s best known for featuring buxom bra-less women jumping on trampolines.

Here’s Kimmel doing a segment in which he tells women on the street to guess what’s in his pants by having them feel his crotch, suggesting they use two hands, or maybe even their mouth.

I’m surprised Mensa hasn’t been banging down Kimmel’s door asking him to join their ranks.

It’s not all that difficult to figure out what this man is doing. He’s specifically catering to liberals and Democrats because he likes the attention it brings. When you play to one side without challenging the way people think – the way many great comedians have done in the past – you’re admitting you just aren’t smart enough to do so.

“You don’t have to watch the show,” Kimmel said to conservatives in October. “You don’t have to listen to what I say. If they’re so turned off by my opinion on healthcare and gun violence then, I don’t know, I probably wouldn’t want to have a conversation with them anyway. Not good riddance, but riddance.”

And that was the exact moment Kimmel officially dumbed down his show to a point where liberals could understand it. He’s been living on cruise control ever since. What a smart guy!
