DCLeaks document dump shows George Soros trying to de-legitimize Israel

Over this past weekend there was another leak of a famous person’s email documents, although the victim was not a politician and the leaker was not Wikileaks. The victim was George Soros, billionaire donor to Democratic Party causes, who is often referred to as the “man who broke the bank of England” in the 1992 pound sterling crisis. During that crisis, Soros made $1 billion in one day at the expense of British taxpayers.

The hack wasn’t of Soros himself but from multiple Soros-controlled organizations, the largest source of documents was Soros’ “Open Society Foundation.”

The 2,576 files were released by DCLeaks, a website which claims to be “launched by the American hacktivists who respect and appreciate freedom of speech, human rights and government of the people.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

An important revelation included in the document dump is the Open Society Foundation’s funding of anti-Israel NGOs. One file, “the President’s Office,” contains the anti-Israel files.

The portfolio review document of the Palestine/Israel International Advocacy Section of the president’s office file explains that they pick organizations whose focus is “rooted in human rights and international law.” At least human rights and international law as determined by George Soros.

They group the organizations in three categories

  • With regard to Israel’s violations in the occupied territories: The fight against impunity/accountability in relation to violations of international human rights and humanitarian law committed in the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict; Freedom of movement and lifting the closure of the Gaza Strip; The reversal of Israel’s settlement policy; The rights of Palestinian prisoners and detainees in Israeli prisons
  • With regard to Israeli violations in Israel: Promote respect for the rights of the Palestinian Arab Minority; Promote freedom of association and expression, with a particular focus on attacks against Israeli CSOs; Promote the rights of refugees in Israel.
  • With regard to the Palestinian Authority’s human rights violations: Promote respect by the PA of its human rightsobligations in both the West Bank and Gaza.

Notice they were able to concoct all those violations by Israel and couldn’t find more than that one violation by the PA? Five minutes at Palestinian Media Watch will give them a list of anti-Israel incitements. Or a few minutes reading The Religion of Peace would demonstrate that all of the terrorist attacks waged by Fatah, the party that runs the PA.

Also in the President’s Office file is a chart called “Outcomes of Presidential Portfolio Reviews, 2014. According to that document, the goal of their “Palestine/Israel International Advocacy” programs was divided between “a focus on raising the cost of the occupation and ending it on the one hand, and on human rights advocacy and protection on the other.”

Based on the organizations that received funding, Soros’s Open Society Foundation achieved its goals.

For example, since 2001 the Soros network has given $2,688,561 to Adalah. According to NGO Monitor, Adalah describes itself as an “independent human rights organization.” Adalah has been instrumental in accusing Israel of war crimes on numerous occasions, including contributing charges to the now-disgraced Goldstone Report and the fake 2002 report of an Israeli massacre in Jenin. Adalah has also called on governments the world over to sever or downgrade their diplomatic relations with Israel.

Another favorite for Soros money is I’lam, is a Nazareth-based Palestinian media center. I’lam claims its mission is “to empower the Palestinian media landscape and society by promoting equal access to the Israeli media, encouraging a fair information-flow, and fostering professional standards.” Not stated in their mission but reported by NGO Monitor is the fact that I’lam creates and promotes allegations of media bias in the Israeli media as part of its political agenda. I’lam received about $1.1 million from the Soros organization.

The New Israel Fund (NIF) is also listed as a recipient of Soros’s monetary love, which has received $837,500 since 2009. The NIF donates money to anti-Israel groups dedicated to making false charges and/or promoting BDS against the Jewish State including Adalah, B’Tselem, Breaking the Silence, and Physicians for Human Rights, Social TV, and 972 Magazine, just to name a few.

Women Against Violence (WAV), which received $1,430,000, demonizes Israel at every turn and supports the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement. As reported by NGO Monitor, WAV (along with two other groups) created the international “One Day One Struggle” campaign, called “My Land, Space, Body and Sexuality: Palestinians in the Shadow of the Wall.” To publicize the event, they created a poster portraying an Israeli soldier reaching out toward a Palestinian woman’s breast, with the caption:

Her husband needs a permit to touch her. The occupation penetrates her life every day!WAV has also been active in trying to get the Norwegian Government Pension Fund to divest from Israel.

Along with advocating for the (BDS) movement, Mada al-Carmel – Arab Center for Applied Social Research which received $707K from Soros was one of the creators of the Haifa Document in 2007. The Haifa Document calls for a “change in the definition of the State of Israel from a Jewish state” and accuses Israel of “exploiting” the Holocaust “at the expense of the Palestinian people.”

Other originations funded by Soros include; The Kayan-Feminist Organization, Mossawa Center: the Advocacy Center for Arab Citizens in Israel, Molad: The Center for the Renewal of Israeli Democracy.

This isn’t the Soros’s only foray into anti-Israel advocacy. He provided initial funding for J-Street, the faux pro-Israel organization condemned by liberals such as Alan Dershowitz. Soros cut off his funding of J-Street when an investigation by this reporter found and released documentation of his donations to the group. Soros was afraid that his association with the Organization would hurt its development. But he did convince his puppet Barack Obama to do his best to give J-Street legitimacy.

Soros has long been known as a Democratic Party “sugar daddy.” For example, according to Open Secrets as of July 21, 2016, he has donated $12,969,936 to Democrats running for a federal office (nothing to the other party). Now we know he is also funding a large slice of the anti-Israel movement. Perhaps it is his financial influence that has motivated the Democrats to move away from Israel in the party’s last two presidential platforms.

Why would Soros, a Hungarian Jew, who lived through the Holocaust spend so much money and effort to de-legitimize the Jewish State? The best explanation comes from my late friend and teacher Barry Rubin:

On November 7, 2003, almost five years after the television interview, Soros made a rare appearance at a pro-Jewish Jewish event, a conference of the Jewish Funders Network. Asked about antisemitism in Europe, Soros responded that it was the result of the policies of Israel and the United States, and particularly of President George W. Bush and Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. “If we change that direction, then antisemitism also will diminish,” he said.

Once again, his words led somewhat in the wrong direction as some of the attendees were outraged. After all, blaming Jews for antisemitism is an old argument of antisemites. But to focus on that is to miss the point.

Soros continued:

“I’m also very concerned about my own role because the new antisemitism holds that the Jews rule the world,” he explained. He knew he is personally vulnerable to such charges. After all, Soros added, “As an unintended consequence of my actions,” he said, “I also contribute to that image,” no doubt referring to an incident of a few weeks previously when Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammad referred to Soros personally in saying, “Jews rule the world by proxy.”
So Soros must prove to the enemies of the Jews that he is not someone they should see as an enemy. By fighting Jewish interests he can claim to diminish antisemitism while also protecting his own interests.

What did Soros say was the main lesson he had learned on those streets in Nazi-controlled 1944 Hungary? “That one should think ahead. One should understand and–and anticipate events and when–when one is threatened.”

So for Soros, religious Jews, Zionists, and in effect the overwhelming majority of the Jewish communities of the world are bringing disaster on themselves by provoking an antisemitic backlash.

His intention here is in no way to help the Jews (“the ones from whom the thing was taken away) but to act in what he perceives as being his own benefit. Soros is not the first Jew in history to calculate that if Israel didn’t exist or that if the Jews merely shut up and hid their identity there would be no problem with antisemitism. And if this happened he could be safe. It isn’t surprising that he has come to hate the people who he believes endanger his life and wealth.

Similarly, he is scared that conservatives are provoking a leftist upheaval. Soros is insuring himself against the new winning side by financing it, believing that if America and Europe move ever leftward, this will reduce pressure against capitalism in general or at least protect his personal wealth. After all, he must reason, why would the radical movement–anti-capitalist or anti-Israel–ever turn on its patron?

In effect, Soros reserves the phrase “never again” not in regard to Jewish suffering but in regard to his personally never being “the one from whom the thing was being taken away.” And meanwhile he can, ironically enough, use his wealth and power to be the Jew who in the entire world came closest to ruling “by proxy.” All the more need for him to take such protective measures.

Through groups such as J-Street and Open Society Foundation, George Soros tries to destroy Israel, in what he considers is his best chance to protect himself from anti-Semitism.
