Mrs. Obama introduced Senator Mark Udall as a “fifth-generation Coloradoan.” Which sounds nice on the surface, but was actually a comment which more accurately applied to Udall’s opponent, Cory Gardner.
Gardner was indeed a fifth-generation Coloradoan, while Udall was born in Arizona.
