Tweet of the Day: Polar bear arrested at global warming rally

The oft-maligned polar bear suffered another setback at New York City’s recent global warming rally, being hauled away by police with his bear hands cuffed for all the world to see.

Frostpaw was simply attending the Flood Wall Street rally, which is nothing more than a glorified Occupy event masked by the supposed premise of climate action. Like many concerned mammals, Frostpaw expressed his views on climate change through protest, even pawsing for a moment to interview with CNN.

Sadly however, fame may have gone to Frostpaw’s head, as he was arrested shortly thereafter by New York City police.

Via Complex:

We can’t make this stuff up. It all went down at the #FloodWallStreet protest for climate change today, which followed yesterday’s unexpectedly huge, and star-studded, People’s Climate March in NYC. Today’s protest, meant to hold Wall Street accountable for its role in “financing climate change”, consisted of a sit-in and march that led to several arrests, including the furry felon. According to Twitter, protesters booed police and began chanting “Don’t arrest the polar bear!” during the arrest.

That’s when police brutality reared it’s ugly head, or rather, removed it’s ugly head, as the pure, white-as-the-driven-snow polar bear was “decapitated.”

The stark imagery is enough to send a person into Kodiak arrest. Pure panda-monium.
