Comedy tonight: ‘What is it like to be the last black president?’

Finally, an interview with Barack Obama that didn’t cause us to throw up in our mouths. Granted, the interview — with Zach Galifianakis on “Between Two Ferns” — was supposed to be comedic (albeit with an edge), but isn’t it reassuring that Obama is finding time in his busy schedule keeping the world safe for democracy to exchange barbs with a comedian?

What made the six-and-a-half-minute exchange tolerable was the deservedly caustic undertone of the barbs directed at Obama and the fact that his comebacks were pathetic.

Best exchange:

Galifianakis: What is it like to be the last black president?

Obama: Seriously? What is it like for this to be the last time you ever talk to a president?

Zing!

And the best visual was this:

In case you’re wondering, there was the de rigueur plug for Obamacare, open enrollment for which ends in less than three weeks.
