Sochi highlight: Russian police choir sings ‘Get Lucky’

I take as a matter of faith Josh Feldman’s characterization of Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky”as “the most infectious hit song of 2013.” Whatever the song’s pedigree, the performance of it by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs Choir in full dress uniform had to be the single most memorable highlight of the opening ceremony at the Sochi Olympics.

Feldman, of Mediaite, goes on to note:

It’s a song with the universal, boundary-defying message that if you commit to it hard enough, you will eventually find someone who is willing to sleep with you.

For my money, it is the funniest rendition of a “foreign” song since the Red Russian Army Choir sang the Irish ditty “It’s a Long Way to Tipperary:
