I was kind of kicking around the idea of writing my own set of satirical lyrics for the national anthem that would please and appease the growing number of black football players who are following Colin Kaepernick’s lead and sitting (or kneeling) during the playing of the national anthem. It appears “South Park” beat me to it.
The Comedy Central series, now entering its twentieth season of offending those at either fringe of the ideoloigcal spectrum (but especially liberals, who are such low-hanging fruit for ridicule), has tweeted out a 30-second spot sung South Park’s adult population:
Don’t sit this one out! #SouthPark returns this Wednesday on @ComedyCentral with 10 all-new episodes! #mnf pic.twitter.com/EqEKquuf0g

Here, courtesy of Alexa Moutevelis Coombs of NewsBusters, are the lyrics. Enjoy:
Colin Kaepernick is great.
Cops are pigs, cops are pigs.
Wait, someone just took my stuff, I need to call the cops.
Oh, no, I just said cops are pigs.
Who’s gonna help me get my stuff?
Why did I listen to Colin Kaepernick,
He’s not even any good.
Oh, I just got all my stuff back
Cops are pigs again, cops are pigs.
Colin Kaepernick’s a good backup….
