There are no ifs or ands to the photos taken by New York City artist Arne Svenson but there’s at least one but — butt, more properly — and its owner is displeased at being so immortalized.
The Associated Press reports that Svenson snapped the images of residents of a glass-walled luxury apartment building across the street from his own through (one hopes) a rear window. The artist was careful to obscure the subjects’ faces, or avoid showing them altogether.

Those old enough to remember Watergate will recall that once major scandals within a presidential administration get rolling, they snowball. The press finds itself reporting new developments daily. That is, assuming the press is reporting anything at all.

To hear liberals in the media express shock, however belatedly, at how “gruesome” and “grisly” were the murders of newborns by “Doctor” Kermit Gosnell following botched, third-trimester abortions, one would think that your average run of the mill abortion more resembled the merciful deaths of convicted murderers by lethal injection, if not a manicure.
“Obama’s presidency was declared dead by the press on Tuesday.” So writes Elspeth Reeve of the Atlantic Wire, providing as evidence a quote from a Politico piece by Jim Vandehei and Mike Allen: “The town is turning on President Obama — and this is very bad news for this White House.”
Now that the mainstream media are writing articles with the words scandals (plural), cover-up, lies, and president in their titles, Democrats in Congress are suddenly desperate to change the narrative on Benghazi from “nothing to see here” to something else — anything else — that will deflect criticism away from the Obama administration.
In his statements to the press yesterday about the alleged Benghazi scandal, President Obama did something he has done before countless times. He countered claims that his administration had deceived the American people — in this case by putting forth a false account of the motivation for the Sept. 11 raid on the U.S. Consulate — by going on the offensive and calling the charges a “sideshow.” He further allowed as how the allegations were a GOP invention borne of partisanship and politics.
Despite intimations earlier today of a hung jury in the trail of former Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell, jurors minutes ago returned a verdict of guilty on three of four counts of first-degree murder involving the deaths of four babies. The doctor, who ran a clinic in West Philadelphia, was was also found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the overdose death of patient Karnamaya Mongar.
Woodwards and Bernsteins only go after Republicans; the Democratic Party has no Howard Bakers nor Joe Liebermans profiling courage; and the road to Hell paved by LBJ, Slick Willie and Barack Obama’s bad intentions would drown even a Watergate.
It wasn’t “just about sex” nor “Nixon’s War.”
In the wake of the documented cover up of Benghazi security lapses and admissions of politically targeted IRS inquiries by the Obama Administration, would it be too much to ask that the moral lapses of Democrats Lyndon, Bill, Hillary, and Barack finally be placed in an accurate historical context?
“Our house is on fire,” CBS anchor Scott Pelley said in a speech last week at Quinnipiac University in which he lamented that journalists “are getting big stories wrong, over and over again” (h/t The Weekly Standard).
Claiming that contemporary media are more interested in being first than being right, the CBS newsreader delivered a mea culpa:
What has been a bad week for Democrats and their servants in the liberal blogosphere just got worse. Not only have the mainstream media begun to desert their much-beloved fearless leader. Their attempts to discredit Benghazi whistleblower Gregory Hicks as a partisan hack have just hit a serious snag as well.
