Who’s really to blame for the ‘one thing Michelle Obama can’t forgive Donald Trump for’?
She prefers a man women can respect and trust.

Excerpts from her new book show Michelle Obama’s disdain for President Trump on a variety of topics, but the one thing she’ll never forgive him for are attempts to spread birther conspiracies about her husband.

The former First Lady attacks Trump in her new memoir “Becoming,” by calling him all of the usual pet names Democrats have for him – bigoted, xenophobic, racist.

She accuses the president of “stalking” Hillary Clinton during the second presidential debate and claims the Access Hollywood tape in which he engaged in locker room talk about women made her body “buzz with fury.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Mrs. Obama reserved her most contempt for Trump’s birther claims, which would eventually force her husband to produce a birth certificate to prove he was born in Hawaii. “The whole thing was crazy and mean-spirited, of course, its underlying bigotry and xenophobia hardly concealed,” she said.

The conspiracy, Obama claimed, was thinly disguised racism that put her family’s safety at risk. “What if someone with an unstable mind loaded a gun and drove to Washington? What if that person went looking for our girls?” she asked.

Odd that the frightening scenario she describes actually occurred, except that the “unstable mind” who brought a loaded gun to a baseball field in an attempt to assassinate lawmakers was a supporter of Bernie Sanders and his targets were Republicans.

“Donald Trump, with his loud and reckless innuendos, was putting my family’s safety at risk. And for this I’d never forgive him,” she declared.

Hillary’s Campaign and the Birther Conspiracy

Although it is true that Trump repeated the claims that her husband was not born in America, Michelle Obama is mistaken about who initiated the birther movement. It was Hillary Clinton’s campaign for the Democratic nomination. A strategy memo released by Hillary’s chief political strategist, Mark Penn, in March of 2007 contains the following statement: “I cannot imagine America electing a president during a time of war who is not at his center fundamentally American in his thinking and in his values.”

Penn would later suggest that the Clinton camp target Senator Obama’s “lack of American roots,” writing, “Let’s explicitly own ‘American’ in our programs, the speeches and the values. He doesn’t.”

The campaign also discussed efforts to portray Obama as a Muslim. One has to wonder if Mrs. Obama will ever be able to forgive Hillary for spreading such thinly-veiled racism.

Obviously heedless of any of this, Michelle Obama rallied behind Clinton in her 2016 run for the Oval Office, railing against women who dared to vote for a “misogynist” in Trump and were willing to overlook “an exceptionally qualified female candidate.” Her chief targets were Republican women, who in her addled view were somehow lesser members of their own sex because they didn’t vote for the woman in the election.

“Any woman who voted against Hillary Clinton voted against their own voice,” she told a conference in Boston in September, adding, “It doesn’t say as much about Hillary, and everybody’s trying to worry about what it means for Hillary and no, no, no, what does this mean for us, as women?”

Obama stated in her book that she tried to “block it all out” when she learned Trump would be replacing her husband. Which, actually, is something much of America was trying to do during that eight-year period when her husband was president.

Accuses Trump of ‘Stalking’ Hillary

In continuing to reveal that President Trump is living rent-free in her head, Mrs. Obama further accused him of “stalking” Hillary during the second presidential debate in 2016. It is a claim that Clinton herself manufactured, alleging that during the debate, which had a town hall format, Trump’s presence behind her was intimidating, if not creepy.

According to a book by New York Times reporter Amy Chozick, Hillary called Trump a “disgusting” man during debate prep, a man who didn’t even belong on the same stage as her. Being on the same stage as the chosen Democrat equated to “trying to diminish her presence,” Obama wrote, adding he thought, “I can hurt you and get away with it.” It is ironic that Obama’s blinders made it impossible for her to notice a man who functioned as a Hillary surrogate during the campaign who proved himself repeatedly to be  a truly “disgusting” man who thought he could hurt women and get away with it. He was of course Hillary’s husband.

Speaking of President Clinton, where is the section in Michelle Obama’s book discussing his “racist” comment that Obama should have been fetching coffee for him and Ted Kennedy instead of being President? Or his claim that Obama was treated better by the media because of his skin color?

One supposes you can only be a racist if you’re a Republican or an opponent of the Obama agenda in any way. It’s good to see Michelle Obama’s memoir finally out for the American people to read, but bookstores would be well advised to place it in the “fiction” section.
