It’s been a long year for parents of school-age children, what with the pandemic and necessity for working parents to stay home. If that includes you, you’re probably just as eager to get the little ones out from under foot as they are to get outside and mingle with kids their own age now that the lockdowns have ended.
The solution to both your problems? Summer camp. According to Joe Truzman of Long War Journal, Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, has opened registration for its annual military summer camp. “The children, often referred to as ‘Qassam cubs,’ are trained in the use of firearms, educated in Hamas doctrine and learn guerilla warfare.”
According to a brochure, the camp is open to preparatory to university-aged males, though snapshots taken during the registration period and posted to Twitter suggest that the small fry are also welcome to enlist … er — enroll.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

As Ben Bowles noted in 2016, the camp’s brochure advises that “firearms training and other military training, civil defense exercises, and lessons in religion and in battle heritage” will be taught. “[T]he goal of the camps is to stoke the embers of jihad among the generation of liberation, to inculcate Islamic values and to prepare the army of victory for liberating Palestine,” the brochure further adds.
If past is prologue, children who earn all their merit badges will be urged to continue their training and jihad. Some will go on in their “professional” life to carry out terrorist attacks just like the grownups.
