There are dandelions on the White House lawn. We learned this on Thursday when the Bidens, POTUS and FLOTUS, traversed it en route Marine One to head for Georgia, the renowned Voter Suppression State, where the president was to hold a drive-in event.
During their trek across the lawn, POTUS stooped to pick an expired dandelion for FLOTUS. According to a report carried by Fox 5 NY, Dr. Jill accepted the white fluffball and toted it in her left hand to the helicopter.

Some observers were less enthusiastic.
Ear-piece: "Joe, you're on camera. Now walk straight, pick up the dandelion in front of you and give it to your wife. We need to keep doing this for PR"

Like on the lawn of a mental hospital.

This guy got a minor ratio for calling the dandelion a weed.
How sweet. I wonder what my wife would say if I gave her a weed.

Whatever. I’m still kind of back on that “there are dandelions on the White House lawn” thing. Maybe, as Ben Bowles discussed earlier — cued by Brian Williams’s lament — COVID really is messing with the “majesty and pomp” of Biden’s presidency. The lawn is probably infested with clover too. As I recall, the White House does have an apiary, so at least these otherwise-annoying species may be put to good use.
Meanwhile, yes, that’s Dr. Jill wearing a lemon-tree print dress, a matching mask, and yellow pumps. Don’t ask me; I know nothing.
Later in the day, the Bidens visited Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter at their home in Plains. The Carters are 93, and as you can see, Rosalynn still gets around with a walker. She wasn’t wearing a mask though.

But when you’re 93 and you can still see your guests to the door — hats off to you.
