On Friday, George Stephanopoulos, host of ABC’s “Good Morning America” shed any pretense of objectivity by blatantly promoting a far-left group that is trying to get the two Democrats in the Georgia Senate runoff elected. Stephanopoulos, who served as White House communications director under Bill Clinton, interviewed actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who was there to push America Votes, a 501(c)(4), “the coordination hub of the progressive community.”

Stephanopoulos ended the interview by advising viewers, “All of you at home can get tickets for VEEP live virtual table read happening Sunday. Go to showupforGeorgia.com.” The link com redirects the user to an ActBlue fundraising page that demands a donation.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Unilaterally giving a platform to a group raising funds for one two major political parties in an election that could change the face of America for all time is a total abandonment of journalists ethics.
It is stunts like this — not Donald Trump’s assault on fake news — that explain the American people’s distrust of the mainstream media. ABC picked a side in the Georgia Senate runoff and put the full weight of their “news” division to funnel money through ActBlue.
