As noted earlier, Republicans caved to Democrats’ demands on the coronavirus relief bill, which passed late Wednesday. The legislation cedes $350,000,000 to assist refugees and migrants. That’s $50 million more than Nancy Pelosi was seeking.
So are she and her cohorts content? On the contrary, She is telling “disappointed’ Democrats to keep their chins up, promising more bills to come with even more “wishes” crammed into them.
That may be enough to assuage the merely far-left members of the party, of which Pelosi has become one. But it’s not nearly enough to satisfy the appetites of the rabid-left wing of the party whose de facto leader is ex-bartender and self-described socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
The “Squad” leader put on quite a performance on the floor of the House the day after the bill passed, waving her arms, screaming, and practically jumping up and down. A video of her raving, which follows, is best watched with the sound off. The 29-year-old freshman rep has nothing of substance to add — certainly nothing we haven’t all heard before, so sit back and enjoy the show.

It is conceivable that voters who want passion from their political leaders will find Ocasio-Cortez’s antics refreshing. Most, I suspect, will agree that it is high time to send this child to bed without her dinner.
