No, you read right. The video that follows is of Democrats making a compelling case against impeaching Donald Trump. All of your favorites appear: Maxine Waters, Nancy Pelosi (who lectures on the dangers of unbridled hatred for the president), Jerrold Nadler (who appears in two separate clips — one for each chin), Bernie Sanders, and others. Joe Biden warns, “We in Congress had better be very careful that … our decision to impeach him was based on principle and not politics.”
So when did the Dems have this change of heart toward Trump? They didn’t. The mix reel is from 1998, and the outrage is over the decision to impeach Bill Clinton.
Although these pleas — all of which make a mockery of the Dems’ ongoing witch hunt — were made long ago, the reel closes out with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer making a pithy prediction:
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
My fear is when a Republican wins the White House, Democrats will demand payback.
