You know you’ve gone overboard when the far-left talkers on ABC’s “The View” call you out for playing the race card.

Co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar took shots at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for comments she made recently insinuating that Nancy Pelosi is a racist for criticizing her and her anti-American “squad” of freshman representatives.

Thursday’s segment focused on Ocasio-Cortez’s suggestion that the House speaker was singling out their incompetence because of their race.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

Pelosi, you may recall, mocked Ocasio-Cortez and her pals– Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.), and Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) – for voting against a bipartisan border funding bill. “They didn’t have any following,” Pelosi said. “They’re four people and that’s how many votes they got. All these people have is their public whatever and their Twitter world. But they didn’t have any following.”

Ocasio-Cortez responded as you might expect any social justice warrior would – crying “racism!”

“When these comments first started, I kind of thought that she was keeping the progressive flank at more of an arm’s distance in order to protect more moderate members, which I understood,” she told the Washington Post. “But the persistent singling out … it got to a point where it was just outright disrespectful … the explicit singling out of newly elected women of color.”

It’s not odd seeing an overmatched, outwitted liberal resort to the race card. It’s just odd seeing one use it against another.

So odd, in fact, that the gals of “The View” couldn’t even stomach it.

Goldberg Calls BS

After discussing the accusations doled out by Ocasio-Cortez, Goldberg stated: “I think this is more BS. I have a problem with how all these young women started out, when they were accusing older Democrats like myself of not getting what needed to be done in the country. They started saying ‘you haven’t done this.’ I don’t think this had to do with color.”…

Goldberg has called out the freshman lawmaker in the past, telling her she needs to learn her job before she can start criticizing people like Pelosi.

The actress noted that all of this criticism of her fellow Democrats is hypocritical if Ocasio-Cortez and her squad didn’t actually put work into trying to persuade moderates on the border funding bill.

“If you’re not going to do that, you’re not allowed to bitch about this,” Goldberg seethed.

Behar Chimes In

Joy Behar also seemed taken aback that the unhinged Democrat would pivot so swiftly to the race accusation. “I don’t know about going to race right away — it’s like, ‘really?’ That’s where you go right away? I thought that that was a bit much, frankly.”

Do you know who doesn’t think it was too much? Ocasio-Cortez, who doubled down and said Pelosi ought to know better about picking on her squad considering the alleged death threats they receive.

It’s singling out four individuals and knowing the media environment we’re operating in … knowing the amount [sic] of death threats we get, knowing the amount of concentration of attention, I think it’s worth asking why.
