Democrats in Texas have been accused of sending out voter registration forms to non-citizens that have the citizenship box already marked “Yes,” according to complaints filed with state and federal officials.

District attorneys and the Justice Department were notified about the applications by the Public Interest Legal Foundation. The group also forwarded a signed affidavit from one individual who said a number of people, who are non-citizens, received the mailing.

Logan Churchwell, a spokesman for the group dedicated to securing the integrity of elections, told the Washington Times, “This is how the Texas Democratic Party is inviting foreign influence in an election in a federal election cycle.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

The mailings, which feature a return address for the State Democratic Executive Committee and a “paid for by the Texas Democratic Party,” were distributed around the Rio Grande Valley region of south Texas.

The voter registration applications, confirmed through an affidavit to have been sent to non-citizens, have boxes which already have an ‘X’ marked for the recipient.

Aside from one question indicating the registration form serves as a ‘new application,’ two other questions —  “Are you a United States Citizen?” and “Will you be 18 years of age on or before election day?” — have also been pre-marked.

Just as troubling, the mailing urges those unsure if they’re registered to simply mail the form in regardless.

A former district attorney stated in his affidavit that “it is a crime to register to vote in Texas if you are a felon with an incomplete sentence or a non-U.S. citizen,” something that could happen if unwitting participants returned these mailers.

The Texas Democratic Party lists a host of individuals labeled “your Democratic champions in office.” Champions listed include Beto O’Rourke, currently taking in record amounts of outside donations in his fight against Sen. Ted Cruz, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, and Rep. Al Green.

“Democrats believe that we’re greater together than we are on our own—that this country succeeds when everyone gets a fair shot, everyone does their fair share, and everyone plays by the same rules,” the page reads.

Yet, this mailer proves they’re not exactly playing by any rules when it comes to election integrity.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has vowed to investigate the suspect registration applications, saying, “If true, there will be serious consequences.”

Whether this mailing amounts to an illegal effort has not been determined yet by election officials. Churchwell though, maintains that “it crosses lines because prosecutors looking into whether someone illegally registered to vote need to be able to see the intent of the applicant.”

Stacey Abrams, a Democrat gubernatorial candidate in Georgia, recently claimed her party’s so-called ‘blue wave’ would include illegal voters. “The thing of it is, the blue wave is African American,” Abrams said at a campaign event. “It is white. It is Latino. It is Asian-Pacific Islander. It is made up of those who’ve been told that they are not worthy of being here. It is comprised of those who are documented and undocumented.”

Texas Democrats are certainly trying to make sure that is the case.
