Queen Elizabeth II quipped that President Trump and former President Obama both remind her of a helicopter, making incessant noise when you’re trying to speak. But nearly every news outlet limited the damage to only one of the two men. Guess which.
The remark came as the queen took part in a TV documentary with naturalist David Attenborough. The pair were strolling through Buckingham Palace Garden when the serenity was interrupted by a helicopter overhead.
“Why do they always go round and round when you want to talk?” the 91-year-old monarch quipped. “It sounds like President Trump … or President Obama.”
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
But that’s not what the Evening Standard, CNN, or The Hill reported:

The Queen, despite an insistence on an adhering to protocol and a proper public profile, does occasionally flash her sense of humor, and it does sometimes involve American presidents.
In 2016, she recorded an Invictus Games video with Prince Harry after the Obamas issued a challenge in which they would “bring it” when they arrived.
Queen Elizabeth’s response was, “Oh really? Please,” followed by Harry dropping the mic.

In 2007, the queen teased then-President George W. Bush when he mistakenly said that she had helped celebrate the U.S. bicentennial in 1776, rather than 1976.
She responded later at a formal dinner saying, “I wondered whether I should start this toast by saying, ‘When I was here in 1776 … ‘” to which the crowd erupted in laughter.
Queen Elizabeth II has yet to formally meet with President Trump, who canceled a visit to the UK amidst threats of protest in January.
As for the media, their selective reporting has been evident in past efforts to defame Trump. CNN is a particularly flagrant offender.
Last November, the network took Trump to task for dumping an entire box of fish food into a koi tank during his visit in Japan with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. They published a video that showed the ostensibly clueless Trump committing this “faux pas,” carefully omitting the initial part of the clip, which showed Abe emptying his own box of fish food into the tank.
