In the wake of the Brussels terror attack, the video below features a Muslim American who believes it is the duty of Muslims here and abroad to prevent attacks like those in Brussels and San Bernardino.
Khurram Dara, an author and attorney based in New York, has a clear message for his fellow Muslims: “We carry with us a responsibility to our country, our faith and our children. The majority of us are here because our parents or grandparents emigrated from oppressive and illiberal nations for the promise of a better life in America.”
He offers several excellent ideas on how to combat the influence of terrorist recruiters, and he urges his fellow Muslims to “lead the winning fight against the radicalism crippling our faith.” His viewpoint is one that Europeans could learn from, and that Americans must heed before it’s too late.
