We’ve already heard from television personalities Al Sharpton and Raven-Symoné that a win for Donald Trump in the 2016 general election is also a win for America: Both have threatened (promised?) to high-tail it out of the U.S. in the eventuality that Trump (or some other dastardly Republican) emerges victorious in November.
The front page at today’s Daily News suggests the possibility of a trifecta. New York’s “picture newspaper” has been going to great lengths in recent months to share its loathing of The Donald (see here and here), and today the editors are at again:
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
If the cover is meant to suggest that Editor-in-Chief Jim Rich and his staff plan to pack their bags and join what one hopes is a mass liberal exodus, let us wish them all a bon voyage.
Whether you support Trump or not, you have to be feeling some perverse delight in seeing the same people who helped pave the way for eight excruciating years of an Obama presidency panicking at the thought of a “petulant, egotistical, race-obsessed novice” running the country. The delicious irony these people are clueless that Obama fits that description to a tee.
