Video: How do you feel about ‘participation trophies’?

Like just about everything else in this country in the era of Obama, the question of whether it is psychologically beneficial or detrimental to award young people “participation trophies” just for showing up for a game or event is a bone of contention. When Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison returned to his own sons’ “trophies for nothing,” as he put it, he won kudos from the right, wrath from the left.

A new commercial for Kia is receiving a similarly mixed reaction, which breaks along ideological lines. The ad aired last Sunday during NBC’s Sunday Night Football. Watch the video below and see what your reaction is.
