This is not the first mention of CJ Pearson at LU. On Feb. 23, Howard Portnoy wrote about the black 12-year-old after he posted a viral video on YouTube criticizing President Obama. Several days later J.E. Dyer wrote about CJ again. This time the occasion was that Facebook had suspended the account of the precocious preteen on the basis of his Obama critique.
That was then, and this is now. And now CJ, a Ted Cruz supporter, has a fresh message for the president and Ahmed Mohamed, the 14-year-old Muslim who was invited to the White House for being punished after inventing a clock thought to be a bomb.

Mr. President, when Kate Steinle was gunned down by an illegal immigrant, you didn’t do anything. You didn’t even call the family. You didn’t invite them to the White House. Is that okay? I don’t think so, Mr. President.
When cops are being gunned down, you don’t invite their family to the White House. You never did.
When a Muslim kid builds a clock? Well, come on by. What is this world that you are living in?
Only it turns out Ahmed didn’t actually build the clock — much less invent one.
But CJ was just warming up. After taking Obama to task for the immigration policies that allowed Steinle’s killer to remain in this country and for rules that prevented Marines from carrying their own firearms in Chattanooga, he accused Obama of trying to appease “domestic terrorists,” referring to Black Lives Matters protesters.
“Mr. President, what are your priorities here?” he said. “Because in all honesty, I think you’re being ignorant, I think you’re incompetent, and I don’t think you understand reality.”
An adult — especially one named Barack Obama — couldn’t have said it better.
