Is this an omen about Hillary Clinton’s chances?

Hillary Clinton is all wet. So are 200 of her supporters who attended a fundraiser for the Democratic frontrunner in the Hamptons this past Sunday.

Kaitlan Collins of the Daily Caller writes:

The presidential candidate had just been introduced on the lawn of designer Tory Burch’s $38 million home when the sprinkler system turned on — drenching everyone at a party whose guests included Anna Wintour, Martha Stewart, Donna Karan and Barneys owner Richard Perry.

“All of a sudden the sprinkler system went off, and those who were on the lawn got soaked,” a source who was at the fundraiser told Page Six. “You could hear some people screaming.”

This is not the first time Hillary’s parade has been rained on. She herself turned the smiles of prospective supporters upside down in the Tampa Bay area in June when she failed to show up for a rally there. Instead, notes WTSP, those who paid $25 to press flesh with the former secretary of state, had to make due with her campaign manager.

The goal of the event was to energize get lower income and minority voters. Clinton’s failure to show up was an interesting way to achieve that objective.
