Gisele Bundchen’s burqa disguise while in Paris outrages Muslims

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen has much to be ashamed of, not least of all her marriage to Tom Brady, whose antics, apart from cheating, have long made him one of the poorest role models for young athletes to come along in some time. But it wasn’t Deflategate or her husband’s unwillingness to take his lumps like a man that prompted Bundchen to conceal her identity while in Paris. Rather, it was pure vanity: She didn’t want anyone to recognize her as she slipped into a plastic surgery clinic for work on her eyes and bombs boobs.

But her choice of disguise backfired, if anything calling attention to her. As the New York Post reports, Bunchen dressed up in a burqa — drawing the ire of already excitable Muslims in France.

“Ooh la la!” wrote a commentator on the French-language gossip site Public, responding to the stunning news on the Brazilian stunner….

“C’est ridicule!!!!” agreed another poster. “To be photographed in a burqa is ridiculous!!!!”

“Especially since it is forbidden in France to wear it!!!!” the poster added, referring to the 2010 “burqa ban,” which bars women from fully covering their faces.

“She would do better to fess up to the plastic surgery because that’s not shameful. I never found her to be beautiful and I definitely don’t like her now,” the anonymous poster sniped.

The Post solicited a local reaction from Imam Muhammad Abdullah Kamal Al-Azhari of the Astoria Islamic Center in Queens. “She’s not doing it for Islam,” he said. “This is very bad. She’s wearing a holy thing for a bad purpose.”

Daisy Khan, wife of Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf —  a man who achieved notoriety of his own when he announced plans to build a mosque in what would have been the shadow of the World Trade Center towers — concurred. “This is almost comical,” she said.
