Was Obama punked by one of his post-SOTU YouTube interviewers? (Video)

Sure looks that way. Here’s Weasel Zippers:

Many were disturbed that Obama would rather be interviewed by Youtube folk rather [sic] than take questions from real media or find time to meet with Benjamin Netanyahu.

Obama no doubt thought that meeting with the Youtube folk would up his ‘hip’ quotient. However, President Cool may have missed something in the translation.

At issue is his sit-down with internet comedienne GloZell Green, who has made a number of past videos that have been less than kind to the nation’s first black president. In several, she assumes the persona of Kelonda, a black woman who voted for Obama based on the color of his skin and not the content of his character. In one such video, which follows, Green also also skewers Oprah Winfrey, whom she calls “Ofrah.”

Apparently, the White House made the same racist presumption — that because Green is black, she must be a mindless worshipper — and didn’t bother to vet her.

Below is a portion of her interview with Obama. In it, she tells him that her husband is angry with her for having cut the hoods off all his hoodies. This elicits a laugh from the president, but then she explains:

I did that to protect him because I’m afraid when he goes outside, somebody might shoot and kill him. And it’s not regular folks. It’s the ‘po-po.’

She proceeds to ask how we can “bridge the gap between black African-American males and white cops,” which prompts a long-winded disquisition from Obama on the companion topics of law enforcement and racial “bias.” One gets the sense based on her previous shtick and reference to the police as “po-po” that Green is being tongue-in-cheek.

In a second clip from the interview, she asks what the president was thinking by making diplomatic overtures toward Cuba, adding that Castro “puts the dick in dictator.”
