Video: Embattled Iraqi Kurds create musical lampooning ISIS

If you can’t beat ’em, mock ’em. That seems to be the message behind a musical parody of ISIS released by Iraqi Kurds. CNSnews reports:

The video aired on a Kurdish TV channel, according to The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), which obtained and translated the parody.

The video features bearded men dressed as ISIS fighters playing air guitar on their rifles, pretend sword fighting, and playing with skulls.

The piece quotes what are presumably some of the funnier lines from the video, which include the refrain, “We are ISIS. We are ISIS. We milk the goat even if it is male.

Here’s another knee slapper:

“We scare women and children,” they sing. “Our Caliph is bearded, and our brains are upside-down.”

Perhaps it loses something in the translation?
