Rev. Al Sharpton, Islamic groups stir the pot in Ferguson, MO

Ferguson, Mo., has become a war zone, as outsiders descend on the small town to beat their chests over the death of 18-year-old Michael Brown, who was shot and killed after allegedly attacking a police officer.

As reported at Liberty Unyielding, a vigil for Brown turned violent on Sunday night, resulting in extensive damage and injuries to police officers and at least one civilian.

Rampant looting and destruction left the town on edge Monday, as police attempted to prevent further damage with a large presence of tear-gas toting riot police, who pulled up in their intimidating MRAPs. The police told the local media to disperse for their protection, creating further anxiety. At least one journalist was threatened with arrest should he refuse to comply.

Instead of allowing a police investigation to run it’s course, radical leftist groups and politicians are encouraging the citizens to rally, even in the wake of Sunday night’s devastation.

“Hey hey, ho ho, racist cops have got to go”

Several Islamic, progressive, and communist groups, such as the Tauheed Youth Development Life, the New Black Panther Party (NBPP), the Organization for Black Struggle (OBS), the Moorish Science Temple, the Coalition Against Police Crimes and Repression, the Nation of Islam – Mosque 28, and the Universal African Peoples Organization (UAPO) passed out flyers during a protest Monday, urging citizens to meet at the office of the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert P. McCulloch.

The Saint Louis Post Dispatch reported on the rally Tuesday, where the Rev. Al Sharpton and the family of Michael Brown walked “arm-in-arm” to the “Old Courthouse.” About 250 protesters had gathered by 10:30 am at McCulloch’s office shouting “Hey hey, ho ho, racist cops have got to go”, but

“Anthony Shahid [community activist and founder of Tauheed Youth Development Life] said the marchers would try to enter St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCulloch’s office, but they did not do so, saying they wanted to avoid arrest and wanted to attend a later event featuring The Rev. Al Sharpton.”

Shahid declared,

“I don’t trust Bob McCulloch. His father was killed by a black man.”

One of the demands is to release the police officers name who shot Michael Brown.  The self-proclaimed “Official twitter account of TheAnonMessage” has threatened to publish the name of St. Louis County Police Department Chief Jon Belmar’s daughter if the police officer’s name is not divulged:

It seems that AnonMessage is not worried about the civilian that was attacked on Sunday, or that livelihoods of local business owners have been compromised by the rioters. If they follow through on their threat, they clearly do not care about the police chief’s daughter.
