One appreciates that the president has his own Constitution, which is different from the one the rest of America is guided by. But does he also subscribe to a higher court than the one the rest of us consider the court of last resort?
A tweet from his Twitter account suggests that he does. On Monday, the Supreme Court of the United States handed down its ruling in the matter of Burwell v. Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc. Following the decision, the president expressed his disappointment at the outcome via his spokesman.
But the matter is now — to borrow Obama’s formulation — settled law. There is nothing more to build on. Nevertheless, a president can always grouse and grumble:

Be heard? By whom? And to what end?
It is sad that as Obama’s star continues to fall, everything that his supporters once admired in him, including his purported mastery of social media, is becoming a travesty.
