Despite the protestations of the “Constitutional lawyer in the Oval Office” and former professional law student Sandra Fluke, the Hobby Lobby case is not an attack on women. It’s not even an attack on contraception, since, as LU’s resident legal scholar Hans Bader explains, the ruling in Burwell v. Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., absolves religious business owners only from having to provide employee coverage for abortifacients. All other contraceptives must be covered.
