Sucks to be Jay Carney. That’s probably true in general, but lately the White House weasel has really had his work cut out for him. Yesterday, he was shoveling gigantic piles of manure in an effort to explain away documents that show conclusively that the talking points on Benghazi originated with the administration.
Having failed abysmally at perpetuating that lie on his boss’s behalf, Carney made out even worse this morning when the House Energy and Commerce Committee released its findings that 2.45 million Obamacare enrollees had paid their first month’s premium, which puts the lie to Obama’s claim last month that 8 million Americans had signed up.
When pressed for a reasonable response, Carney got out his shovel once again, claiming, “We don’t have numbers, but we still dispute their numbers.”
