NYC bombing suspect in custody

This just in. According to New York CBS affiliate WCBS, authorities discovered suspect Ahmad Khan Rahami sleeping inside an industrial building in Linden, N.J. Details remain somewhat sketchy, but according to reporters gunfire was exchanged during which two police offciers and Rahami were struck and wounded. Rahami is now in police custody and in the process of being turned over to the FBI.

ABC News reported earlier that five other people had been arrested in connection with the bombings, which occurred Saturday in New York’s Chelsea section. The New York office of the FBI provided initial information about the capture in the form of a tweet:

According to the Associated Press, the five suspects were taken to an FBI building in lower Manhattan where they continue to undergo questioning.
