Video: Islamic State fighter’s helmet cam captures his own death

You know how it is when you’re fighting for the cause. One second you’re pumping hot lead at disbelievers, the next you’re inspecting the chorus of line of 72 virgins that are your eternal award.

From the YouTube channel of WarLeaks:

An IS member captured his last moments on the battlefield in POV by using a GoPro helmet cam during clashes with the Iraqi army.

The footage shows him in battle with Iraqi soldiers when he suddenly got hit while picking up a magazine to reload his weapon.

He was most likely downed by Iraqi soldier shooting at him from the roof of the building.

This is the first time ever GoPro helmet cam POV footage like this surfaced and gives an uniqe [sic] impression of what it looks like to die in real life.

At approximately 00:15 in the video that follows, the image flips upside down and the action stops abruptly, seeming to capture the instant when this terrorist becomes a “martyr.”
