Video: WH struggles to explain why climate change worse than terrorism

The last couple of days have been rough on the president and his handlers who stubbornly cling to the claim that climate change is more of a threat than terrorism. Yesterday, the death of a young American hostage of the Islamic State was confirmed and so were reports that the administration had blown the opportunity to rescue her and other American captives.

In the video that follows, ABC’s Jonathan Karl spars with White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest over the administration’s “official position,” which leaves Earnest in the unenviable spot of attempting to explain that climate change poses — to borrow Karl’s formulation — a “more immediate and present danger” to the American people than terrorism.
