Asked about Bergdahl/Taliban trade, Hillary Clinton plugs her book

We have five high-ranking Taliban commanders set free, with one already vowing to kill Americans in Afghanistan when he gets the chance. We have an almost certain deserter in Bowe Bergdahl, who may have collaborated with the Taliban, which led to increased attacks on his fellow troops. And we have reports that several service members were killed at the hands of the Taliban trying to locate said deserter.

So when a future presidential candidate in Hillary Clinton was asked her thoughts on the POW swap President Obama, which would frankly provide a window into her own inclinations under the same conditions, how did she respond?

By plugging her book, of course!

Via ABC News:

[ABC’s Diane] Sawyer asked Clinton whether the president made “a deal with the devil” by releasing the Taliban detainees being held at Guantanamo Bay prison in exchange for Bergdahl.

“I think this was a very hard choice, which is why I think my book is aptly named,” Clinton said. “If you look at what the factors were going into the decision, of course there are competing interests and values. And one of our values is we bring everybody home off the battlefield the best we can. It doesn’t matter how they ended up in a prisoner of war situation.” [Emphasis added]

In a way, Clinton is right.  It must be a very ‘hard choice’ to try selling a book, when 84% of America is concerned about troop safety after the President negotiated with terrorists.
