It doesn’t really add much to the unfolding narrative of Bowe Bergdahl’s putative desertion and “capture” by the Taliban, nor does it answer any of the troubling questions that have been raised with respect to reports that six American troops died in missions to rescue “POW” Bergdahl. (For the record, the Pentagon has denied these reports, though it has yet to provide any concrete account of its own of steps to secure Bergdahl’s release.)
