As punishment for violating the strict rules of the observance of the Ramadan fast, a young Muslim couple in Germany was attacked and beaten by a gang of Islamists who broke into the apartment. The woman, who was pregnant, suffered a miscarriage, according to the German-language publication Focus.de.
The incident occurred in the town of Eisenhüttenstadt, where the couple — refugees of the bloody Chechen civil war — had settled. Ten men, having decided the couple was guilty of “immodest behavior” broke into their modest flat and proceeded to beat both of them severely enough to require hospitalization for their injuries.
The female, however, identified only as Zulikhan, 23, was kicked repeatedly in the stomach, causing the death of her unborn child.
According to police records, the leader of the the Islamist morality patrol is a 38-year-old man with a history of enforcing Muslim traditional values. Focus determined that the unnamed ringleader belongs to the radical Chechen Kavkazskiy Emirat (Caucasus Emirate). This is the same group to which the Boston bombers, the Tsarnaev brothers, belonged.
