It sure sounds like a job for Sharpton Man. If the reverend was provoked into convening an “emergency task force” over the “failure” of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to sing sufficient hosannas to the film “Selma” (which the academy did nominate for Best Picture), then this latest incident of racist New York cops behaving badly is worthy of at least one (if not two) bridge closures.
The only problem is the picture:
Then again, Sharpton’s a pretty imaginative guy. Surely, he can make a case for racism even when the combatants are a couple of chess players, one of whom happens to be a person of color.
