Tweet of the Day: Sandra Fluke’s ‘Persuasion Brigade’

Between orgasms, former Georgetown Law student and activist Sandra Fluke has found time to throw her diaphragm hat in the ring, announcing in February her intention to run for the California State Senate. In case you weren’t already convinced that she and Barack Obama are ideologically joined at the hip, she has asked fellow birth control enthusiasts to join an Orwellian-sounding “Persuade Brigade”:

The term calls to mind Obama’s “Truth Team” — a term that in retrospect is bitterly ironic for a man who likely holds the dubious record of having lied more than any president in history.

As for Fluke’s political ambitions, they suffered a setback last week when the Santa Monica Democratic Club threw its endorsement behind her opponent for the 26th district seat, local school board president and Harvard graduate Ben Allen.
