Who knew? Here I thought the whole white privilege myth was grounded in the nonsensical belief that white people historically have had an easier path to success and have been less likely to be stopped by the police than blacks based on the color of their skin. Now, thanks to a viral video, I know better.

The main antagonist in the video is a hostile black airline passenger whose identity remains shrouded in mystery except for the fact that at one point she identifies herself as a queen.

As best as I can divine from the video, which is in medias res, the queen needs to use the facilities but has been notified that the plane is about to take off and that all passengers are required by the FAA to remain seated.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

But the queen is not “having any.” When a blond female passenger attempts to broker the increasingly heated exchange between the queen and a flight attendant, the queen gets in the woman’s face and asks rhetorically, “What I got to listen to? Are you my boss? You’re white privilege. You’re not my boss.” She concludes the lecture by ordering the blond woman twice to “sit down,” oblivious to the fact she is already seated.

The queen then turns her attention to the flight attendant, who is white, ordering her to “sit down,” adding you don’t have privilege over me.”

So white privilege is really the belief that you can order around blacks with impunity? Since that’s a luxury the black woman in the video has conferred on herself, one might conclude that she enjoys black privilege.

According to the comments following the tweet, in a longer version of the video, airline security is summoned, though there’s no word on whether the queen was removed from the aircraft. I think I can say without fear of contradiction that had the trouble maker been white, he would have been.

This new racial climate is the end-product of actions and dialog over the past three months. If this really what the Left really wants to see?
