Cases of Democrats not only behaving uncivilly but resorting to violence seem to be on the rise. Yesterday LU reported about a professor a Quinnipiac University who became so enrage over a comment made by a man with a different ideological outlook that he sought the man out at an Indianapolis bar and put a beatdown on him. In this latest story, the unhinged liberal actually resorted to gun violence.
Forty-four-year-old Brian Sebring, of Tampa, had a major political disagreement on Facebook with 46-year-old Alex Stephens of the same city. Sebring, who is a registered Democrat, armed himself with an AR-15 and a Glock (yes, a Democrat who owns an AR-15 and Glock!), drove over to Stephens’s home Monday night, and shot him in the butt and thighs.
Sebring was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and carrying a concealed firearm.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
It is unclear what the exact nature of the argument was about, but Sebring’s Facebook page was full of political posts, according to the Daily Mail. Here are a couple of examples:
It’s unclear what the dispute was about or what Stephens’s political affiliation is, but he doesn’t exactly come off smelling like roses. From the Tampa Bay Times:
“After receiving several explicit messages and threats, the defendant responded [sic] to the victim’s home to confront him reference the messages,” a police account said.
When Sebring arrived — wearing the Glock in a holster on his waistband — he honked his horn and waited by his truck for Stephens to appear.
Stephens came out of the home and charged toward Sebring, police said, and that’s when Sebring fired two shots with the Glock. [Emphasis added]
Sebring turned himself in and was arrested. He was held in the Hillsborough County Jail on a bail of $9,500. he is a registered Democrat, and father of two, and a pizza delivery driver. He also follows Barack Obama on Twitter.
