Blast from the Past: Radical Democrat James Talarico Reminds Voters He Hates Capitalism and Wants to Dismantle It (Video)

In the race between Democrat James Talarico and Republican Ken Paxton, Talarico can not seem to hide his radical positions.
During a private Zoom meeting that has resurfaced with Austin Sierra Club activists from 2020, Talarico said the quiet part out loud, again. He went after capitalism, suggesting it is an ‘oppressive system’ that he wants ‘to dismantle.’
“The multi, you know, multi-faceted threat of a climate crisis, an economic crisis, and a social justice crisis,” Talarico told the group, “I think that kind of New Deal effort would be the only approach to start to address all three in a thoughtful and meaningful way.”… READ MORE

Talarico has also promoted critical race theory and DEI. It is bad for schools to promote critical race theory (CRT), because CRT is a harmful ideology that is hostile to free markets, wrongly equating free markets with racism: “To love capitalism is to end up loving racism. To love racism is to end up loving capitalism…Capitalism is essentially racist; racism is essentially capitalist,” says a best-selling book rooted in critical race theory. The “key concept” in that book is that discrimination against whites is the only way to achieve equality: “The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination. The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination,” said that book.
