Before she belatedly retires from Congress, will Nancy Pelosi finally own up to her true feelings toward Donald Trump? Not that anyone should give a hoot about what Pelosi thinks, but it would be nice just once to hear her admit to being consumed with hatred for the former president. This was evident in her claim in 2019 that the world would end if Trump were re-elected and in the rage she felt after her two bogus impeachments — the second after Trump left office — ended in non-convictions. In January 2020, she vowed in an interview with ABC News that Trump would be removed from office by next year “one way or another.” She added that Democrats “may have him removed sooner” than that.
It would behoove the speaker, who is equal parts hypocritical and dishonest, to set the record straight before history attends to that task for her.
