Did you miss the bullet point in the revised CDC guidelines for COVID safety that states that Democrats in power are free to ignore any indoor mask mandates they impose? There must be language to that effect. Why else would Speaker Nancy Pelosi violate her own mandate, not once but twice in as many days, to take a photograph?
Pelosi evidently isn’t the only Democrat who subscribes to the policy of “do as I say, not as I do.” According to the Washington Examiner, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser celebrated her 49th birthday and officiated a wedding at The Line DC, a four-star hotel in the Adams Morgan neighborhood of the city, both times maskless.
It gets better. Both events occurred with 24 hours of the imposition of the mayor’s new indoor mask mandate.
Despite the mayor’s order, the wedding reception featured hundreds of unmasked guests served by dozens of wait staff, including a conspicuously unmasked Bowser.
Bowser, who was not sitting at the table designated for her during wedding toasts, did not wear a mask despite not actively eating or drinking. When approached by the Washington Examiner to explain why she was maskless at an event now legally obligated to enforce mask compliance, security blockaded the free press.
The Examiner includes photographic evidence of the festivities in which Bowser is plainly visible.
