It looks as though Joe Biden really is intent on serving the third term of Barack Obama’s presidency.
Obama, you may recall, asked Americans to become part of his “Truth Team” by informing on friends and relatives who told lies about Obamacare and other “gifts” of his presidency. A special page of the WhiteHouse.gov website was designed for just that purpose. I recall wondering at the time what would happen if someone blew the whistle on Obama himself for his lie that “if you liked your current health plan, you could keep your current health plan.”
Anyway, the transcript of a White House press briefing from June 14 features the following quote by an unnamed senior official in the Biden administration:
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
We will work to improve public awareness of federal resources to address concerning or threatening behavior before violence occurs. And on that, I would just note that one of the things we’re talking about is the need to do something in this space, like the ‘See something’ — ‘If you see something, say something’ concept that has been promulgated previously by DHS. This involves creating contexts in which those who are family members or friends or co-workers know that there are pathways and avenues to raise concerns and seek help for those who they have perceived to be radicalizing and potentially radicalizing towards violence.
As Western Journal observes, “[T]he Biden administration is actively encouraging American citizens to report their friends and family to the government if they ‘perceive’ them to be too radical.
And who, class, constitutes “the most lethal threat to the homeland today,” according to Biden? Not the thousands who participated in the riots in the months following the death of George Floyd. Those people, according to the White House, protested peacefully. The real danger is white supremacist, who prey on innocent blacks like the McDonald’s customer in this story.
