It would be nice to live in a society where headlines like the one above were unnecessary. It would be even nicer to live in a society where an entire race is not defiled because of the actions of a few.
After the Jan. 6 “insurrection” at the Capitol, which was deemed an act of white supremacy by the Left despite the fact that none of the five casualties was “of color,” thousands of national guardsmen were deployed to D.C. and razor wire promptly went up around the Capitol complex. Yesterday’s deadly attack, in contrast, was dutifully reported by the media, then summarily dropped.
Somehow, almost instantaneously, the police ruled out terrorism as a motive despite the fact the killer, Noah Green, was a follower of a radical figure who has openly avowed hatred for people of another race. What made them so sure Green’s motives were not terroristic? He was after all armed, and used one of the two weapons he brought — his car — to commit murder. Was it the fact of Green’s being black, which appears to rule out white supremacy?
One outlet that appeared to go out of its way to play down the incident because of its “unfriendly” narrative was Facebook, which as the Post Millennial reports, scrubbed Green’s profile from its site.
The Daily Wire, which also noticed that the account had been wiped, asked the social media giant why and was told:
After this horrific event, our thoughts are with the Capitol Police and their loved ones. We have designated the incident under our Dangerous Individuals and Organizations policy, which means we have removed the suspect’s accounts from Facebook and Instagram, and are removing any content that praises, supports, or represents the attack or the suspect. We are in contact with law enforcement as they conduct their investigation.
Your witness.
