I guess they showed him! Now that every liberal journalist and his uncle have excoriated Donald Trump for daring to suggest there might be problems with the Democratic plan to conduct an all-mail ballot election, some news outlets have decided to prove the Dems are right and Trump is wrong.

CBS News was first into the fray, conducting a vote-by-mail experiment. “CBS News This Morning” co-host Tony Dokoupil set up a dummy P.O. Box and sent out 100 ballots through the United States Postal Service around Philadelphia. A few days later, he sent another 100 ballots out.

The first batch of ballots saw 97 of the 100 returned with CBS noting, “In a close election, 3% could be pivotal.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

“Three simulated persons, or 3% of voters, were effectively disenfranchised by mail by giving their ballots a week to arrive,” Dokoupil reported.

A former Arizona election official tells the network that mail-in voting could consist of “somewhere between probably 80 and 100 million voters receiving their ballot that way.”

While 97% might seem like a pretty good rate at first blush, this could potentially spell trouble for anywhere between 2.4-3 million ballots.

It Gets Worse

The second batch of ballots mailed out by CBS had an even worse return rate.

Four days after they were mailed, 21% of the faux ballots had not shown up.

Trump took to Twitter this morning to rail against the mail-in ballot scheme Democrats are pushing.

“Mail-In Voting is already proving to be a catastrophic disaster. Even testing areas are way off,” he wrote. “The Dems talk of foreign influence in voting, but they know that Mail-In Voting is an easy way for foreign countries to enter the race.”

Trump added, “Even beyond that, there’s no accurate count!”

He pinned the CBS experiment video pinned to his profile.

Delay the Election?

In a follow-up tweet, the president made a suggestion that is sure to send the Democrats and their resistance warriors into an absolute fit of terror by suggesting via Twitter that “2020 will be the most INACCURATE [and] FRAUDULENT Election in history. It will be a great embarrassment to the USA.”

Attorney General William Barr has supported Trump’s contention, suggesting to Fox News that mail-in voting “absolutely opens the floodgates to fraud.” Other experts have posited that vote-by-mail schemes are a means of facilitating voter fraud.

Additionally, a bipartisan electoral reform commission in 2005 concluded that mail-in voting “increases the risk of fraud” and “raises concerns about privacy.”

Aside from fraud and privacy issues, CBS News has now demonstrated conclusively that your vote — your precious and sacred right — could simply be lost in the mail.
