Tired of Donald Trump’s foul mouth? If so, you may be in luck. Rapper Cardi B, who just last week was threatening to file for a Nigerian passport so she could get away from the president, now says she’s considering a run for Congress instead. Yesterday she tweeted:
I think I want to be a politician.I really love government even tho I don’t agree with Goverment

It may not have occurred to her that her and the president’s paths would be more likely to cross if she became a member of Congress, but one supposes she’ll cross that bridge in the highly unlikely event she comes to it.
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
The performer received some encouragement to enter politics in 2018, after she posted a video that revealed her aptitude for finances.
Cardi B is getting into tax policy now. She says she's paying 40% of her income in taxes and wants to know where the money is going…"when you donate to a kid in a foreign country, they give you updates on what they're doing with your donation….I want updates on my tax money." pic.twitter.com/E1hITGNqee

So is she serious about a run? It sounds as though she has organized an “exploratory committee”:
I do feel like if I go back to school and focus up I can be part of Congress.I deadass have sooo much ideas that make sense.I just need a couple of years of school and I can shake the table .

The singer, whose real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, has a few points in her favor. Like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, she is in her late twenties and Hispanic. She also was been raised in the Bronx, the borough of New York where Ocasio-Cortez claims — falsely — she was raised.
