Churchgoers kill Texas shooter

A shooter opened fire in a Texas church. But he didn’t manage to kill many people, because two churchgoers returned fire and killed him.

If leading Democrats had their way, these churchgoers wouldn’t have been allowed to carry guns, leaving them defenseless. For example, former Vice President Joe Biden criticized the governor of Texas for signing a law letting lawful gun owners carry their guns in church if they have the church’s permission. He called it “totally irrational” for the state to allow that.

The shooting happened at a service at West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, Texas. Video of it — which has since been taken down — showed the shooter standing up just as communion ended, removing a long gun from his coat, and firing twice before at least one person shot back, killing him. Before the shooter was killed, he shot two innocent people who died.

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

The Texas law that Biden criticized strikes “churches, synagogues, or other places of worship” from the list of prohibited locations in the Texas Penal Code. That makes clear that these places have the same right enjoyed by nearly all other owners of private property to decide whether to allow License To Carry holders to carry guns on their premises.
