In time for Christmas: A PC version of a holiday classic

The Christmas season is approaching. Soon, progressive parents will be busy shopping for “Transgender Barbie” (not a reality yet, but if it becomes one, remember: You saw it here first) and similarly woke toys to fill their children’s holiday stockings.

In their private time, “liberated” mom and dad will be celebrating the season of light by sitting back and listening to some of their favorite Christmas classics with an “adult” theme, such as “Let It Snow” “Santa Baby,” and “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” In the last case, they will be able this year to enjoy an updated MeToo-ized version of the song.

Singers Kelly Clarkson and John Legend have updated the lyrics in their duet, which in the original 1949 version was about a man trying to entice his date to stay a little longer by pointing out the frigid temperatures outdoors. Last year, the lyrics raised concerns about “consent” among staunch liberals, so the new version includes lines like “It’s your body, your choice.”

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

What is most surprising most about this kerfuffle is not that the Left has, once again, taking something innocent and turned it into something menacing but, rather, the sexist assumption that women never initiate sexual encounters.

Should you have any desire to hear the woke version of the song, it’s here:
