Cancel culture is not only alive and well but has come to the 2020 presidential race courtesy of the Biden campaign. True to its totalitarian tendencies, Team Biden sent a letter on Sunday to every major television network, demanding they keep former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani off the air, claiming that he “will knowingly and willingly lie.”
The letter reads in part:
We are writing today with grave concern that you continue to book Rudy Giuliani on your air to spread false, debunked conspiracy theories on behalf of Donald Trump. While you often fat check his statements in real time during your discussions, that is no longer enough. By giving him your air time, you are allowing him to introduce increasingly unhinged, unfounded and desperate lies into the national conversation.
We write to demand that in service to the fact, you no longer book Rudy Giuliani, a surrogate for Donald Trump who has demonstrated that he will knowingly and willingly lie in order to advance his own narrative. [Emphasis added]
Breitbart notes that the “Biden campaign itself has been known to lie,” a point of fact exemplified most recently by the revelation that the former vice president manufactured from whole cloth his story about having traveled to Ukraine in March 2916 to coerce then-Pres. Petro Poroshenko into firing a prosecutor who was investigating his son. (Biden likely did make the threat, which should still raise eyebrows, but if he did it was at the White House during a Nuclear Security Summit.)
Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?
Giuliani fired back:
The Bidens are clearly rattled by the affidavit showing there is a named accuser and not an anonymous source, who is ready to testify! Reminds me of the reaction to the corrupt pols of the 70’s and 80’s. They have their Dem media trying to destroy my reputation and silence me! pic.twitter.com/xQ2isIPzos

“Think of the Biden arrogance and entitlement to protection. They believe they own the media and they are demanding that they silence me. They know I have incriminating facts, not hearsay, because they know what they did in selling Joe’s office to a Ukrainian crook,” he added.
Townhall’s Guy Benson notes the self-defeating nature of Biden’s desire to silence Giuliani:
1) If I were the Biden campaign, I’d want to see as much Rudy as possible.
2) Biden has been in a bunker on this issue, in terms of fielding serious/sustained Q’s. Maybe Team Biden should stop trying to tell networks who not to book & offer up their candidate to give his side. https://t.co/Mpg7fGy0Bm
