In recent years, various liberals have hinted at the possibility that the National Rifle Association (NRA) is a terrorist outfit. In 2014, a hot-headed Virginia Democrat posted hateful tweets targeting the Tea Party and suggesting the NRA was a “terror group.” In 2017, Hollywood liberal Michael Ian Black “proved” NRA members were terrorists by attempting to align the dictionary definition of terrorist with the organization. And in 2018, a Florida billboard (shown above) stated that the NRA is a terrorist organization.

But no organized group or government has ever officially declared the group to be terrorists — until now.

On Tuesday, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted to approve a resolution  that declares the National Rifle Association (NRA) as a “domestic terrorist organization.” District 2 Supervisor Catherine Stefani, who penned the resolution, announced:

Will this presidential election be the most important in American history?

The NRA has it coming to them, and I will do everything that I possibly can to call them out on what they are, which is a domestic terrorist organization.

The declaration by the Board, which is comprised exclusively of Democrats, cites a duty by elected officials to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

The irony in that statement is so thick, it’s hard to digest. Especially considering that the cesspool of liberalism known as San Francisco adores foreign enemies, opening its borders to them and providing sanctuary at every turn. (RELATED: San Francisco Doles Out Voter Registration Forms to Non-Citizens)

The resolution further calls on officials to “take every reasonable step to limit … entities who do business with the City and County of San Francisco from doing business with this domestic terrorist organization.”

It’s not enough to promote a ridiculous stunt. They want to hold a gun to the temple of those doing business with perfectly law-abiding members of a perfectly law-abiding organization.

The resolution goes on to state the NRA “spreads propaganda that misinforms and aims to deceive the public.”

Misinforms and aims to deceive?

This is the same Board of Supervisors who just weeks ago decided the best way to make criminals in their city more palatable is to refer to them using the Orwellian euphemism justice-involved persons. The NRA, Stefani said, “knowingly puts guns into the hands of those who would harm and terrorize us.”

Meanwhile, the pro-Second Amendment group blasted the stunt and said Democrats were trying to “distract from the real problems facing San Francisco, such as rampant homelessness, drug abuse and skyrocketing petty crime.”

“The NRA will continue working to protect the constitutional rights of all freedom-loving Americans,” they added in a statement.
